1. Summary
Askwell is made by TAKE INTEREST Inc. This policy covers the Askwell iPhone app. The short version: Askwell is local-first. It has no account and no sign-in, it makes no network calls, and it runs no ads and no third-party analytics. Your question text, your scores, and your saved receipts are created and stored on your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. You can practice offline, and removing the app clears everything it saved.
2. Apple App Privacy at a glance
This maps Askwell to Apple's App Privacy categories so you know what to expect.
Data not collected: Askwell collects no data. The app's privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking domains, so the App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
Not used to track you: Askwell has no advertising identifier and no third-party analytics, and it does no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Stored on your device only: your questions, the scores Askwell computes, and the receipts you save live on your iPhone through the app's local storage and never leave it.
No third parties: there is no sign-in provider, no analytics provider, no advertising network, and no server we operate in the loop.
3. No account
Askwell does not ask you to create an account or sign in. There is no email address, no name, and no account identifier collected, because there is no account at all. You open the app and start practicing.
4. How your questions are handled
When you type a question, Askwell scores it on your device using built-in language tools. The scoring, the missing-signal check, the sharper version, and the sample results are all computed locally. Your question text is not sent to a server, and we never receive a copy of it.
5. Saved receipts
A receipt is the proof note Askwell keeps after you sharpen a question: the before and after, the score, the signals, and a next-rep prompt. Receipts are stored on your device through the app's local storage. They are not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not shared with anyone. Removing the app deletes them.
6. No network use
Askwell makes no network requests as part of its features. It does not call a weather, maps, sign-in, analytics, or advertising service, and it does not download or upload your content. The app works the same with the phone offline.
7. Analytics and tracking
Askwell uses no third-party analytics SDKs and no advertising trackers, and the app's privacy manifest declares tracking off. If a future version ever adds optional usage analytics to help us improve the app, it will be turned off by default, you will get a clear control over it, and we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version ships. We will never use it to track you across other apps or to sell your data.
8. Children
Askwell is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no data and has no account, there is nothing for a child to share with us. If you have a concern, contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to this policy
If a future version of Askwell changes these practices, including adding analytics, an account, or any new data use, we will update this policy and the app's App Store privacy label before that version ships. The date at the top reflects the most recent update.
